Aldi Lime Basil & Mandarin Reed Diffuser | The Jo Malone Dupe

There is nothing better than walking through the door after a long day & instantly being welcomed by that oh so familiar scent, that signature scent that to you means home. I have been obsessed with reed diffusers since my Uni days. Back then I would always go for a scent that would remind me of home, a scent that would wrap me up and make me feel at ease on those stressful homesick days. Now as a homeowner I am all about scents that create a welcoming atmosphere not only for myself but for potential guests too (no one wants their visitors to walk away thinking that their house smells even if it is just the postie).

The only downside to this is that in the past year since becoming a home owner I have found myself delving further and further into the world of Jo Malone & in the past few months have become quite attached to one of their signature scents Lime Basil & Mandarin. Considering this is not a cheap obsession to have I am all for trying out a dupe from time to time, que Aldi's latest release, No1 , a luxury reed diffuser in the scent Lime, basil & Mandarin.

i have to admit that after the release of 'those' sought after dupe candles that sent Insta into a frenzy at the beginning of the year I was a little dubious to say the least (the scent was fab initially, but the candles themselves seemed to burn unevenly and the scent pay off just didn't cut it), however so far i am seriously impressed with the reed diffusers.

Aldi have seriously done their homework when it comes to this range as there is no denying that these are a total rip off of the real deal. However, that being said the thought that has gone into every last detail is seriously impressive from the box with faux bow down to the well made reeds (also tied with a bow) & that oh so familiar care card. Overall as far as packaging is concerned they've done a pretty incredible job of bringing high end to the high street or in this case the supermarket.

As for the scent, I would give Aldi 10/10. there really is no difference between these and the real deal (aside from the price tag that is). It has such a high level of fragrance that it managed to fill my living room with that oh so familiar warm scent in a matter of an hour. Two weeks on and the scent is a tad more subtle but still very noticeable.

Overall I am seriously impressed with these diffusers, so much so that since initially drafting this I have purchased several more. Compared to Jo Malone's £40+ price tag, you could easily fill each room in your home for the price of one.

The luxury reed diffusers are £3.99 & currently come in three different scents including Pomegranate Noir. Now if only someone would do a dupe for Sweet Almond & Macaron...
